Once bitten, twice smitten
I should have known I would at some point, but today happened to be the day where I got bit! Quentin was upset about the fact that this year, we weren't taking a fieldtrip to the zoo, so when we tried to get him to time-out, he freaked out and managed to bite me when I was putting him in a wrap. It's not too bad though- but I had to go to the employee clinic and fill out tonnnes of paperwork for such a little bite! I got some antibiotics too so that it doesn't get infected (cos most bites do).
Anyways, that was my little drama for today.
I have some breaking news regarding NYU as well. I spoke with the same advisor I met when I was in NY over the phone on Wednesday and it seems I recieved the wrong letter of acceptance. I guess there was a major mistake where these incorrect letters were being sent out, even to people who weren't really accepted!! Luckily, I wasn't one of THOSE people (but god, I'd be devastated if I were!), but I was one who was really accepted for fall semester rather than for the summer semester. This news was a bit shocking at first, but now that I've had a chance to think it over, it might actually work out better for me because now I have the whole summer to prepare myself. So, the reason that I wasn't accepted for summer start was because I was lacking a few core skills credits like math, science, and a foreign language. It looks like I'll be taking a few classes over the summer to gain these credits, which I'll do here in Michigan at a local college. I'll also be working, doing the summer school again with Jonathan like I did last summer, which I'm looking forward to :)
The reason I didn't want to be in Michigan over the summer was because I didn't want to have nothing to do, but it looks like I'll have plenty to occupy my time and I'll even have that extra time to decide where I might live in NY instead of rushing to get there in 3 weeks time.
So, good stuff- it all seems to be working out.
I have a few pics here from Liam's visit, so here ya go:

Our reflection in the Cloud Gate sculpture in Chicago- it was such a brilliant idea! The whole thing looked like a giant jelly bean, made out of steel so everything was reflected in it, including the city skyline behind it. Genious...

And finally, we turned each other into M&M's! :)

These are some of the only pics Liam has sent me so far, and I didn't take my camera with me so hopefully he'll keep all the pics he took comin my way so I can share with you.
That's it for now!!
